Jeanne Venella, DNP, RN, CEN, CPEN is a doctoral-prepared nursing leader and passionate advocate for healthcare workforce safety. With decades of experience across pediatric, emergency, and acute care settings, she has built her career on advancing innovation, operational excellence, and the well-being of those who deliver care.
As Clinical Strategy Director at Canopy, Venella connects clinical expertise with workplace safety technology to help healthcare organizations create safer environments, stronger staff engagement, and measurable outcomes. Her leadership in workplace violence prevention brings together data-driven insights, best practice integration, and continuous improvement strategies that empower clinical and security teams alike.
Venella’s professional journey includes leadership roles at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Blue Jay Consulting, and Bernoulli Health. In recognition of her impact, she received both the College Medallion Award and the Nursing Alumni Award from Villanova University and later joined the M. Louise Fitzpatrick College of Nursing as an adjunct professor in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program.
