UCSF, Stanford Choose Doximity as Network for Medical Alumni

Doximity, the largest professional network for physicians, is partnering with Stanford and UCSF to take the lead in bringing mobile technology revolution into medical education and healthcare communication. This iPhone/Android joint initiative between Doximity and two of the top five ranked medical schools in the country will connect thousands of graduates across dozens of specialties and multiple generations of doctors.

“Mobile technology is empowering physicians to work and communicate more efficiently,” said Alex Blau, MD, medical director at Doximity and UCSF medical school alum. “With these new apps, Stanford and UCSF place themselves in the vanguard of medical technology innovators, giving their graduates easy and unprecedented access to the collective knowledge and expertise of their peers.”

In just over a year since Doximity’s launch, more than 10% of U.S. physicians have signed up.  Because patient privacy laws severely restrict the use of email, texting and consumer social networking sites in medicine, Doximity provides a secure and efficient alternative.

The Doximity platform makes it easy to create apps for virtually any physician vertical, including medical schools, hospitals, and other healthcare networks. With its proven architecture, the Doximity platform can be branded, built, and deployed quickly.
