Stories of Success
I have the pleasure of serving on the review board for Stories of Success, a program co-sponsored by HIMSS, ASQ, NCQA, and NPSF, which provides examples of health IT implementations that demonstrate safety and quality improvement in patient care.
Stories of Success features case studies that fulfill national patient safety goals of The Joint Commission and national priorities from the National Priorities Partnership. Each year, the review board for the program selects case studies to be published on the HIMSS and ASQ websites. The program provides value by making peer-reviewed examples of improvement with health IT freely available and by encouraging organizations to design initiatives with robust data collection and reporting criteria.
The deadline for submitting manuscripts to Stories of Success is Wed., May 9. If your organization is not able to meet the deadline this year, it’s not too early to begin preparing a case study for the 2013 cycle. Case studies must be supported with data and drafted according to established guidelines. Each case study receives review and comments.
