Quantros and Allscripts integrate best-in-class care and quality management solutions.

San Francisco, CA, December 4, 2009 — Quantros, a leading software and services provider for the healthcare industry, announced a strategic agreement with Allscripts, the leader in software, services, information, and connectivity solutions for physicians and hospitals. The arrangement will provide healthcare organizations with a more comprehensive solution to improve the quality and safety of patient care and to support their compliance and regulatory reporting needs.

Under the agreement, Quantros and Allscripts will bi-directionally integrate the Quantros line of safety and risk management, accreditation, compliance, and performance improvement applications with the Allscripts suite of Care Management solutions. As a result, hospitals and health systems will now have a single web-based tool to coordinate the care and quality management process from patient admission through to discharge.

Quantros President and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sanjaya Kumar said of the alliance, “Quantros joining forces with Allscripts means that organizations can access all of the data corresponding to a patient
supporting care management and best practicesin a single location. This is truly a best-in-market solution for clients seeking end to end compliance, quality and care management integration.”

The fully-integrated, web-based Allscripts Care Management solutions simplify and consolidate utilization management, discharge planning, documentation integrity, audit management, and quality management for hospitals and post-acute care facilities. Providing a single work list for all care management processes, the Allscripts system transforms and streamlines administrative processes, improving the quality of patient care and overall efficiency. Quantros web-based solutions add an additional layer of performance and monitoring to the Allscripts Care Management solutions.

Patient information from the Allscripts and Quantros applications will be integrated through an HL7 interface engine to provide a richer environment for managing physician performance, improving quality and outcomes, and providing a safer care environment.

“To improve patient care while increasing safety and reducing risk, caregivers need all the information available on a patient at the right time and the right place, and Allscripts together with Quantros delivers just that,” said Lee Shapiro, president of Allscripts. “Hospitals and health systems now can add overall quality management to the care management processes that Allscripts streamlines and automates, helping them to truly transform healthcare and benefit their patients.”
