On episode 49 of PSQH: The Podcast, Dr. Tammie Chang, author of the new book Boundaries for Women Physicians: Love Your Life and Career in Medicine, talks about how female physicians can prevent burnout, stress, and exhaustion. Dr. Chang, MD is a board-certified pediatric hematologist-oncologist practicing at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital, and medical director of provider wellness, MultiCare Health System, Tacoma, WA. She received her medical degree from Brown University, completed her internal medicine-pediatrics residency at the University of Massachusetts, and her pediatric hematology-oncology fellowship at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Dr. Chang is an executive, empowerment, and leadership coach for women physicians, and the founder of Tammie Chang, MD. She received her coaching certifications from the Co-Active Training Institute, The International Coaching Federation, and the John Maxwell Team as a leadership coach.
Dr. Chang is also co-founder and co-CEO of Pink Coat, MD, a platform to support and empower the personal and professional success and wellbeing of all women physicians. She is the program director of the National American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) ELEVATE Leadership Development Program for Women Physicians, president of the Washington State Chapter of AMWA, and co-founder of the Women of Influence Network (WIN) for her health care system. She is the author of Boundaries for Women Physicians: Love Your Life and Career in Medicine and co-author of How to Thrive as a Woman Physician together with Luisa Duran, MD, her Pink Coat, MD co-founder.
