While so-called “germ-zapping robots,” which use ultraviolet (UV) light technology to kill multidrugresistant organisms (MDRO), are being increasingly deployed by hospitals as part of infection control programs and Ebola response plans, manufacturers are looking for ways to market the machines to budgetwary medical clinics.
