Doctors Earn Incentive Payments with Pulse PQRS Qualified Registry

Pulse, an industry-leading vendor of Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Practice Management solutions, has achieved Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) Qualified Registry status. PQRS is a voluntary individual reporting program that provides an incentive payment to eligible professionals (EPs) who report data on quality measures for covered Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) services. EPs who do not participate in PQRS in 2013 will face a 1.5% payment reduction from Medicare beginning in 2015.

To become a qualified PQRS Registry, Pulse completed a thorough vetting process. This process affirmed the abilities of the Pulse PQRS Qualified Registry to: 1) accurately measure all required PQRS data elements; 2) calculate the requisite flows and algorithms used in PQRS reporting; and 3) transmit all required information in the requisite file format (XML). These features provide Pulse customers with the following:

  • Convenient user interface
  • Provider registry registration
  • Measure selection assistance
  • Qualified patient identification
  • Real-time reports reporting and performance percentages
  • Easy data submission to CMS

Pulse PQRS Qualified Registry features allow Pulse customers to easily report PQRS measures and receive stimulus money beyond Meaningful Use.

Basil Hourani, CEO and president of Pulse, states, “Providing our clients with additional, unique services such as an integrated PQRS Qualified Registry really captures what Pulse is about: providing complete practice workflow solutions. It is great to learn that our clients have received thousands of dollars because of the Pulse Registry.”
