Press Ganey Acquires Quality Indicator Project®, Expands Clinical Solutions

South Bend, Indiana, August 5, 2010—Press Ganey Associates, Inc. announced it has acquired the Quality Indicator Project® division (QI Project®) from the Maryland Hospital Association. Launched in 1984, QI Project is among the earliest pioneers in the clinical performance measurement arena. The QI Project Core Measures Product helps clients comply with the complexities and understand the nuances of quality measures reporting requirements with sophisticated data collection solutions and analysis tools.

The QI Project adds to Press Ganey’s expanding clinical suite, broadening the company’s data, resources and expertise to help clients comply with reporting requirements, and most importantly to improve the quality of care they deliver. This will bring to over 500 the total number of U.S. hospitals that rely on Press Ganey solutions to meet clinical reporting requirements.

“The experienced staff and robust tools of the Quality Indicator Project enhance our proficiency in this increasingly important area for hospitals,” said Richard B. Siegrist Jr., CEO of Press Ganey. “This new solution coupled with our current products will give our clients a timely and accurate picture of their clinical performance and will allow them to identify changes and improvements right away.”

To streamline efforts for clients, the QI Project’s solutions are all housed in a web-based data center which provides real-time data at many different levels. Clients have a single vantage point for managing every aspect of the performance measurement and assessment process – from data collection and management to transmission and analysis.

While clients have immediate access to actionable data at their fingertips, they also have access to seasoned education, training and support resource staff to help interpret the data and formulate improvement plans.

“This fits well with Press Ganey’s strategy of streamlining and integrating performance data with analysis and improvement tools to help clients drive alignment across their organizations,” added Siegrist.
