Pharmacy OneSource Releases New Features for Sentri7

Wolters Kluwer Health, a leading global provider of information for healthcare professionals and students, announced several new enhancements will be added in June to Sentri7®, a web-based, enterprise-wide electronic surveillance application that helps hospital staff identify at-risk patients.

The Sentri7 Infection Prevention Module now features an enhanced process to complete procedures and report to the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN). With a more streamlined workflow, Infection Preventionists (IPs) can spend less time submitting reports and more time focusing on real prevention efforts.

New functionalities for reporting may provide benefit for infection prevention teams. IPs can create device comparison reports to understand the hospital’s status with infections that are no longer reimbursable from CMS. Document line lists now include causative organisms from the culture result in order to determine which organisms are related to specific infections. Other reports include Surgical Site Infections (SSIs) by surgeon and a report of patients with diseases required to be reported to the State Department of Health.

Sentri7 by Pharmacy OneSource combines medication, laboratory, patient, radiology and surgery data to facilitate earlier, better, and more consistent interventions. Accelerating workflows can lead to shorter lengths of stay, lower costs, improved patient safety and reduced antibiotic resistance. More information about Sentri7 can be found at www.sentri7.com/infection.
