Patient Safety and Quality Healthcare: Business News
100th Implementation of
T SystemEV

T-System announced the 100th implementation of The T SystemEV, a comprehensive emergency department information system (EDIS), at the HealthONE Swedish Southwest ER in Littleton, Colo.
When searching for an EDIS, T-System's reputation certainly played an integral role in the process, according to Vicki Owens, Swedish Southwest's ED Director. "We looked at a lot. This one [T SystemEV] certainly had the most ease-of-use. It's intuitive, it's quick," said Owens, who also recognized another important aspect to the T SystemEV implementation. "I think the training was great. Everyone has been incredibly flexible. We have a very big staff and they [T-System did as many classes as we wanted, all times of the day and night."
Swedish Southwest ER is a freestanding, full service, 24-hour emergency department and an extension of Swedish Medical Center in south Denver. It was built in 2005 to accommodate the growing Denver community. Both facilities are part of The HealthONE System of Excellence, which is the largest healthcare system in metro Denver with 8,700 employees and 3,000 affiliated physicians.
