New CodeWatch™ Transmitter Adds Wristwatch-Like Comfort to Code Alert® Wandering Solution

RF Technologies® new transmitter improves compliance and reduces anxiety.

Brookfield, WI, September 10, 2007 RF Technologies® adds the CodeWatch™ Transmitter to its Code Alert® Wandering Management Solutions. Resembling a wristwatch, the small, lightweight device feels familiar and comfortable, putting residents at ease. Residents wearing transmitters have the freedom to move about the facility, yet remain safe if they attempt to exit an unauthorized area. When a resident wearing a CodeWatch approaches a Code Alert monitored door, the CodeWatch sends a signal to the antenna, an alarm sounds or the door locks, and facilities can choose to send alert information to a central location identifying the resident and/or monitored exit.
"Most senior residents are accustomed to wearing a watch, so the familiar feel of CodeWatch improves compliance and reduces liability. The watertight transmitter is even suitable to wear in a bathtub or shower," says Jim Frost, RF Technologies Vice President, Sales - Senior Care. "Wearing CodeWatch helps seniors preserve their dignity while providing reliable wandering protection."
The CodeWatch is compatible with all Code Alert Banding Material options,İincluding Gray and Blue Adjustable Snap Closure banding designed for one-timeİuse. Also, the CodeWatch works with a Buckle Locking band designed for use inİAdult Day Centers. All banding material is latex free. The CodeWatch can be used with all Code Alert® Wandering Solutions. CodeWatch is not a functioning wristwatch.
