Noblis' Center for Helath Innovation helps organizations create and align business and clinical strategies

Information Management & Systems Practice announces new service offerings.

Falls Church, VA, February 19, 2008 Noblis' Center for Health Innovation, a leading advisory group to health providers and health related organizations, today announced that its Information Management & Systems Practice (IM&S) will begin providing a new series of workshop-based offerings designed to help organizations create and align business and clinical strategies and enhance IM&S governance processes.
Rapid Strategic Alignment and Rapid Governance Design were created to help healthcare organizations recognize the impact of technology solutions on business or clinical processes, the people, and the environment. Unlike traditional planning approaches, these offerings utilize a rapid design and are based on Noblis' comprehensive four-phase IM&S strategic planning methodology: 1) Strategy Alignment; 2) Target State Formulation, Assessment & Gap Analysis; 3) IM&S Vision and Strategy; and, 4) Final IM&S Strategic Plan).
Rapid Strategic alignment is a rapid planning approach used to establish the appropriate linkages between the business and clinical environments as well as the IM&S environment. On the other hand, Rapid Governance Design is a rapid decision making collaborative approach used to gain concurrence regarding the establishment of effective IM&S governance structure and associated processes.
"Our clients want to deliver results faster. With their input, we have created new and innovative workshop-based offerings that will help them achieve their objectives more quickly," said Barbara Cox, Information Management and Systems Practice Leader "Unlike traditional planning approaches, these new offerings will help them to do exactly that."
Highlights of the new product offerings are:
IM&S Rapid Strategic Alignment:
- Single executive workshop in which Noblis will help frame the discussion of IM&S in business terms, making it clear how business decisions will affect operations and underlying costs.

- Works with business, clinical and information technology professionals to better understand the value propositions and how to control them, which in turn will strengthen IM&S strategies and customer support.

- The rapid strategic alignment can be conducted in conjunction with the development of an enterprise business and clinical strategy, as a component of a comprehensive IM&S strategy, or as an independent engagement.
IM&S Rapid Governance Design:
Brings together business and clinical stakeholders and information technology professionals in a focused workshop that utilizes a focused, collaborative design effort.
Objectives of this innovative, rapid design effort are to:
- Assess and identify opportunities to enhance your current IM&S governance maturity.

- Jointly develop an IM&S governance model that is consistent with your operating principles, organization and culture in a single workshop.
"These new service offerings will assist hospitals and health systems in achieving the business value of their technology investments," said John Vitalis, senior principal and IM&S strategy service line leader. "They can be conducted independently, or in conjunction with a comprehensive IM&S strategy or enterprise strategy initiative."
