Austin, TX, January 31, 2008 — As the most expensive health care system in the world struggles to reduce costs, U.S. health care providers consider adoption of EMRs (electronic medical records) which are said by experts to be capable of saving the industry billions of dollars. Providers are slow to act on implementation of EMRs when faced with hefty upfront costs, not to mention extensive behavioral and workflow changes necessary to providers' practices in order to implement.
