New Patient Handling Device Essential for Infection Control
Dedham, MA, February 14, 2008 — AliMed® Inc., the leading innovator in healthcare products, has released a new patient handling booster to move patients up in bed. When patients slip down the bed, boosting them back up is often awkward and the most common cause of back strain in caregivers. AliMed's 'No-Lift' Booster has proven itself as a simple, convenient way to boost patients up with little effort. AliMed's new disposable version is a continuous tube that serves the same purpose, but can be dedicated to a single patient.
 The inside of the tube is coated with a low-friction coating, while the outside grips the patient's clothes. Caregivers can simply boost the patient back up the bed without strain. Since each patient can have their own booster, the chance of cross-contamination is dramatically reduced. The Single Patient Use 'No-Lift' Booster (#71 0081) is available in case lots of 40 Boosters and priced at less than $20.00 each.
