Raleigh, North Carolina, January 7, 2008 — Misys Healthcare Systems (FTSE: MSY.L), a market leader in healthcare IT, today announced that Provena Health, a 1,800 physician health system in Illinois and Indiana will utilize Misys products to improve patient safety at the point of care and maintain more accurate data via instant access to electronic medical records. To encourage wide-spread adoption among its affiliated physician group, Alliance Health, and to alleviate costs associated with implementation and support, Provena has agreed to host Misys EMRR and Misys Tiger® through Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Ill. As a complement to the clinical capabilities of Misys EMR for physician practices, Provena Health has also purchased Misys Homecare®, which will be used among its network of home health nurses.

Provena Health and affiliated Alliance Health physicians and medical executives will use Misys EMR to improve and expedite the care process by having access to patient data at their finger tips, across all care settings. Misys EMR, which integrates with Misys Payerpath(™) capabilities for billing and claims transactions, will allow Southwestern Chicago area physicians to more accurately and efficiently document care delivery and results, a key component of pay for performance initiatives.
