11,000 Paraprofessionals Take Part in Free Educational Forum

CHC grant provides training in Spanish and Russian.

East Greenbush, New York, January 07, 2008 — According to the Community Health Care Services Foundation, Inc., (CHC), over 11,000 paraprofessionals across the nation have participated in its free Spanish and Russian education and training programs since July of 2007.

The grant provided by Cardinal Health Foundation allows CHC to provide essential training via audio conferencing — free of charge — to paraprofessionals nationwide.

Paraprofessionals from over 13 states including New York, Ohio and Colorado have taken advantage of essential training programs like "Dealing with Patients with Difficult Behaviors," "Safety for You and Your Patient," and "Basic Life Skills: Training for Paraprofessionals" among others.

"We are delighted that over 11,000 paraprofessionls have had the opportunity to take part in these educational Forums" said Phyllis Wang, president of CHC. "This grant allows us to expand our reach into the Spanish and Russian speaking populations within the home care industry across the U.S."

Translated programs will be offered at no cost until February 2008 and can be accessed at www.chcforum.org/forum.

For more information on this grant or any other CHC audio conferences, Webinars and streaming videos, please visit www.chcforum.org.
